James founded the business in 2013 and has led the growth of the company ever since. James is passionate about business and believes in creating a company culture where individuals feel valued and can be challenged and help to reach their potential. In his spare time James loves eating out, hillwalking and is a qualified rugby coach at Ripon RUFC.

James joined the business in 2021, bringing with him a wealth of operational experience to help Sturdy Foods on its growth journey. James is passionate about creating great products and helping the production team achieve their potential. In his spare time, James enjoys spending time with his family and is a keen sports fan.

Karen joined the business in June 2020 with 30+ years experience in customer service and relationship management. She is a very positive individual who lives and breathes the vision and goals of Sturdy Foods. She loves nothing more than speaking to customers and helping them get the very best from our business and product range. In her spare time Karen loves spending time with her family, friends and enjoying fine wine and good food.
